The candidate will focus on underwriting Lawyers Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Directors & Officers Liability and Fiduciary Liability exclusively for law firms. The candidate will work within the ORPRO law firm team to develop a strategic plan and execute a go-to-market strategy to achieve growth on the overall book of business and meet profitability targets. This is a position to enhance an existing nationwide law firm book of business. The role encompasses working with both retail and wholesale agents and brokers. The candidate will also engage in portfolio-level strategy and regional business planning.
This is a highly visible and important role working with key distribution partners. The candidate will have the ability to make an immediate impact with the backing of an experienced and supportive group.
The candidate ideally will have a Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field, with 2-7 years of LPL or other professional liability underwriting experience. Requirements include strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills; excellent organizational and follow-up skills; and proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. The candidate must also possess the ability to work both independently and as a team, the ability to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail, work under quick timelines, and show initiative in all aspects of work.
