As an Insurance Regulatory Compliance Specialist you will be responsible for the management and coordination of the overall compliance of our products with state insurance regulations. This requires thorough knowledge and implementation experience of industry compliance standards, state regulations and requirements. You will also serve as a resource and liaison with respect to communications, workflow, and quality improvement initiatives insofar as they involve insurance regulatory actions.
Assist colleagues, as appropriate, with the development of new insurance programs or revisions of existing programs, including any premium Rating Plans, to prepare the products for submission to the Old Republic Compliance Department (ORCD) for filing with state insurance departments.
Proactively assess what state-required endorsements and policyholder notices might be required to facilitate the approval process.
Help create and then submit to ORCD for filing, any new endorsements to existing programs.
Field and evaluate state insurance department objections received via ORCD, and determine the most appropriate response. This will be in collaboration with colleagues and outside legal counsel, if appropriate.
Ensure the accurate and timely insertion of all approved documents into the electronic underwriting database, and any other internal filing databases.
Experience with state insurance departments to uphold compliance standards, regulations and requirements
Working knowledge of insurance policy language and policy construction
Project management skills

Bachelor’s degree required
