Job Description

The Financial Analyst’s primary duties will be to assess the business operations, financial health, and other unique risk exposures of publicly traded companies, IPOs, and late-stage private companies, across various industry classes and geographies in the United States with the goal of evaluating risk quality and determining the level of Directors and Officers Liability Insurance exposure. 


The Financial Analyst will learn the fundamentals of equity research, financial statement analysis, valuation, and receive industry-specific training on the fundamentals of Directors and Officers Liability Insurance. Learning will take place through shadowing current employees and via group and self-study. Financial Analysts will create underwriting reports and make recommendations to senior staff that will drive decision making at the firm. 


Advancement opportunities exist for Financial Analysts who achieve mastery of more advanced concepts and who establish a record of consistent risk assessment.  As the Financial Analyst progresses, there will be an opportunity to engage in business development to generate profitable growth prospects for Old Republic Professional.  The Financial Analyst will build relationships with and market products to our brokerage partners in conjunction with the team.    



Candidate should be interested in and intellectually stimulated by the prospect of analyzing the business models, operations, financial statements, and industry trends of publicly traded companies, IPOs, and late-stage private companies. 


  • Individual must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Candidate must manage multiple assignments with attention to detail, and work under quick timelines.
  • Intellectual curiosity and commitment to excellence are essential.
  • Candidate must have professional verbal and written communication abilities. 
  • Strong analytical skills are required. 
  • Experience reviewing financial statements is preferred but not required. 
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
